University of Strathclyde researchershave developed a novel way of measuringunderwater noise created by ships whichposes a danger to marine life.Human-generated underwater radiatednoise (URN) from the military, the oil and gasindustry and shipping traffic can interferewith the ability of marine animals to hear,navigate, communicate and catch prey.
