Thordon onboard with Suez Canal Authority

The Suez Canal Authority (SCA) hasreplaced the rubber cutterhead bearingson the 102m LOA cutter suction dredger‘Mahmoud Younis’ with water lubricatedcomposite bearings from Thordon Bearings.The retrofit, which took place the Port SaidShipyard’s floating drydock, follows thesuccess of a similar installation aboard theCSD Mashhour, the largest dredger in the SCAfleet. Its rubber cutterhead bearings werereplaced last year, providing the first Thordoninstallation with the Authority.
