INTENSIFYING MARITIME TRADE CONTACTS THE NETHERLANDS AND VIETNAM

During the Vietship exhibition in Hanoi (February 21-24), Holland Marine Equipment (HME) officially launched the project 'Holland-Vietnam Year 2006-2007'. Goal of the project is to put Dutch maritime suppliers in contact with decision makers of Vietnamese shipowners and shipyards, and create lasting business contacts between the two maritime communities. One and a half years ago, the association started activities in the rapidly upcoming maritime industry of Vietnam. A market study was performed, and two successful trade missions to Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi and Haiphong were organized. The trade missions and related activities led to an increase of mutual trade and investments, and to a better understanding of the industry form both sides.
