JUHU Beach: IHC Merwede delivers second small TSHD

After setting the standard in 2008/2009 in the smaller Trailing Suction Hopper Dredgers (TSHD) with thern'Cazanga', IHC Merwede this year delivered the second TSHD this range, the 'JUHU Beach'.rnJuhu Beach was the second hull built by Verenigde Scheepswerf Heusden (VSH) since its opening in March 2007, when it also became part of the IHC Merwede Group. The keel of thisTSHD was laid on February 27th 2009 and she was launched on August 4th 2009. Both vessels, 'Cazanga' and 'JUHU Beach', are virtually identical, built to a new, standard design that IHC Merwede has developed. After the launching of the vessel, the hull was towed to the IHC yard in Kinderdijk for outfitting and finishing.
