Important innovations in the marine and offshore nowadays refer to hybrid vessels. In cooperation with the shipyards REMAT offers an innovative hybrid electrical drive system which attributes to a better environment. The Hybrid electrical drive system is a combination of Lithium-Ion battery packs and generator sets for power supply, Active Front End frequency converters for speed regulation and (re)charging the batteries, and a sophisticated battery management system acting as an energy manager, guaranteeing a balance between power generation, accumulation and consumption.
