Ferus Smit launches MV Vlieborg

The MV Vlieborg, an 1A strengthened ice class 11,850 ton vessel, was launched on 29 August at the Ferus Smit shipyard in Westerbroek, the Netherlands. This vessel is the second in a series of three being built for Wagenborg Shipping in the Dutch town of Delfzijl. These vessels are the biggest the yard has ever launched at 142.65 metres long and 15.87 metres broad. The MV Vlieborg will be equipped with a 2,970 kW MaK 9M25 engine.
