New habitat Sealdock for under water stern tube seal repair

Stern tube specialist AEGIR-Marine recently partnered with Underwater Propulsion Engineers BV (UPE) to develop a new and improved under water habitat. Both parties wanted to adjust the existing design by giving more work space to the engineers on duty, improving the stability of the equipment, simplifying the transport and making it cheaper and finally making one habitat suitable for a wider range of shaft sizes. All this together lead to the production of the UPE Sealdock. The first AEGIR-UPE under water job was completed in Italy, using the new equipment and the new habitat performed beyond expectations.
