Conoship R&D results: LNG feasible to realise 'eCONOlogy'

Conoship performed a feasibility study on the application of LNG for the propulsion of general cargo vessels trading the Baltic and North Sea. Technically, the application of an LNG installation is feasible in the analysed 4,500 tdw vessel. Economically the feasibility of the LNG propulsion is concluded positive in the R&D project, for the expected prices of LNG and gasoil. The combination of positive effects of LNG on economy and ecology is another example of what Conoship calls 'eCONOlogy.
