Environmentally safe water-powered pile driving

Annually, IHC Hydrohammer carries out many projects on the world market, of which their patented Hydrohammer~® is the key component. The Hydrohammer" is applied for pile driving on the open seas for the foundation of wind turbines. Depending on project requirements, pile driving impact energy may vary from 30 to 2,500 kJoule. Traditionally, these hammers were hydraulically powered. Yet, one of the latest developments is a water-powered design. In order to effectively handle the tremendous numbers of hoses for these pile driving hammers, EMCE Winches has built customer-specific winches for their customers. As a fairly recent development, all of these DNV GL-approved winches come standard with a water connection provided.
