Alphatron Marine has signed a contract with Damen Shipyards for the delivery of the AlphaBridge including an IT and entertainment package for the first service operations vessel (SOV). The new 90-metre SOV, named Bibby WaveMaster 1, is specifically designed for maintenance engineers employed by offshore wind operators to work more efficienty while maximizing comfort for longer periods at sea, even up to 30 days at a time. The Bibby WaveMaster 1 is currently being built by Damen in Romania and will be delivered in January 2017.
