The Steigenberger Wiltcher Hotel, located on the prestigious Avenue Louise in Brussels, was the main venue of the European Shipping Week 2017, held from 27 February till 3 March. One of the events that took place in the hotel was a seminar organised by the Royal Association of Netherlands Shipowners (KVNR). The seminar had the title 'Putting Short Sea Shipping 2.0 Into Motion'. The day aimed to share insights on the European short sea shipping sector. "We wanted to get clear what actions need to be taken in order to ensure the viability of this sector which is so essential to the European industries and consumer markets", says Tineke Netelenbos, president of the Royal Association of Netherlands Shipowners.
