摘要

There is a growing consensus within the global community that the concern over underwater munitions represents an investment in mutually shared values. As chairman of three consecutive International Dialogues on Underwater Munitions (IDUM), I view our ongoing effort to centralize global resources a great success. This was echoed by the large number of distinguished presenters and attendees participating in the Third IDUM held in Sopot, Poland, in April 2011. Collectively, they represent perhaps the most significant single gathering of subject matter expertise to have addressed this issue in recent times.
