China's Avic Weihai Shipyard has held a keel-laying ceremony for the next Stena RoRo Ro-Pax ferry. Destined for the English Channel, the new-building will be named COTE D'OPALE. Owned by Stena RoRo, COTE D'OPALE will be operated by DFDS under a 10-year bareboat charter agreement signed last year To be delivered by the end of June 2021, the 214-meter-long ferry will be the longest ship on the Channel with capacity for 1,000 passengers and crew.
