Delivered to BP Shipping by Hyundai Heavy Industries on July 3,2007, British Emerald is a 155,000 m3 membrane type LNG tanker utilizing GTT Mark Ⅲ tank insulation to give a low boil-off rate of 0.15% of total caro volume per day. Main propulsion machinery consists of four sets of dual fuel diesel engines and two propulsion motors driving a single propeller via a reduction gear.
