Seacor Marine building mono-hulls at Gulf Craft

While its new Cheetah Class catamaran crew-boats have been a great success, Seacor Marine continues to build conventional monohulls. Gulf Craft, Inc., Patterson, La., which built the Seacor Cheetah, is currently constructing the 190 ft aluminum monohull Alice G. McCall. Gulf Craft plans to deliver the 190 ft × 34 ft boat this August. It will build two more conventional vessels for delivery in 2009 and 2010. The vessel contains a total of ten Cummins engines. Propulsion for the Alice G. McCall will be supplied by five 1,800 hp Cummins KTA50-M2 main engines with Twin Disc MG-6848 reduction gears (2.93:1 ratio) that turn four-blade 54 inch × 53-inch Nibral propellers via five-inch shafts.
