Stena Britannica Christened

The largest U.K-registered ferry, the 64,000 gt Stena Britannica was christened last month. The 240 m ferry will join its sister ship, the Stena Hol-landica, on the Harwich to Hook of Holland route on the North Sea. The superferries, took a total of three years and $578 million to make a real- ity. The RoPax ferries will each carry 1,200 passengers, 230 cars and 300 freight vehicles at a service speed of 22 knots.
