NEW LIFT FOR SMALL SHIPYARD

With the size of vessels increasing, smaller shipyards find themselves having to make adjustments in size and machinery in order to compete with larger shipyards. Alabama-based Steiner Shipyard, is a prime example. Thanks-in-part to monies from the Small Shipyards Grant program, the yard was able to acquire a 400C mobile boat hoist from Marine Travelift Inc., Sturgeon Bay, Wis., in order to accommodate the larger boat sector.
