NEW YORK HAS EYE ON OFFSHORE WIND

Whatever else it did, or did not achieve, last month's UN Conference on Climate Change in Copenhagen did at least provide various dignitaries from around the world an opportunity to take a tour of Danish offshore wind farms. Among them was New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, who visited Horns Rev 2, which has 91 wind turbines and a total production capacity of 209 MW of electricity.
