Waertsilae wins additional contract for largest LNG passenger ferry

Wartsila was awarded a contract from STX Finland Oy to supply additional equipment for the world's largest LNG pas: senger ferry—which will be operated by Viking Line. Earlier this year Wartsila was awarded a contract for the delivery of its Wartsila 8L50 DF main engines and propulsion machinery —which included bow and stern tunnel thrust-ers, two stainless steel fixed pitch, built-up main propellers—for this same vessel. The contract extension covers onboard LNG storage and supply systems (LNGPac) and an advanced Compact Silencer System (CSS).
