Rdml Sandra L. Stosz, Has Been selected to be the first woman superintendent of a military service academy. She will be at the helm of the U.S. Coast Guard Academy starting next summer. She will be the first and only female commander to head any of the five federal military academies. Currently, RDML Stosz is the Coast Guard director of reserve and leadership, and is responsible for policy affecting the recruitment and training of more than 8,000 Coast Guard reserve members.
