DEEPWATER GULF OF MEXICO TO BOAST CHEVRON'S OIL PRODUCTION

Chevron Ceo John Watson recently told CNBC that he expects the company to grow its oil and gas production by 25% by 2017. A large part of that growth, says Watson, will come from Liquefied Natural Gas projects in Australia and deepwater developments in the U.S; Gulf of Mexico. Chevron is one of the largest leaseholders in the Gulf of Mexico and is currently constructing the Jack/St. Malo and Big Foot projects, which are scheduled to begin production next year.
