The big news in the tug and barge market is a new venture that will use Articulated Tug Barge (ATB) units to transport and deliver Compressed Gas Liquid (CGL) cargo to Central America and the Caribbean, including Puerto Rico. The firm, Houston-based SeaOne Caribbean, LLC, has signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with Korean shipbuilder Samsung Heavy Industries for the construction of 12 massive ATB units.
