Busted: Vega Reederei in Hot Water with USCG

THE U.S. COAST GUARD has initiated civil penalty proceedings against Hamburg headquartered Vega Reederei GmbH & Co. KG after investigators found that around January 29, 2017, the Vega Mars, while moored in Tacoma, WA, discharged ballast water without the use of a Coast Guard approved ballast water management system or other approved means.
