Prestige fallout dominates the agenda

This year's show will again feature a conference which has come to play an increasingly important role at the exhibition. Following its revamping in 2001, this year's conference will again take place over two days, 4 and 5 June, and will look at the crucial challenges that today's maritime industry is facing. The first session on Wednesday 4 June will look at the political, regulatory and commercial impact of the sinking of the Prestige. Among the speakers will be Ansgar Gabrielsen, the Norwegian Minister for Shipping; William De Ruiter, Executive Director of the European Maritime Safety Agency and Marianne Lie, Director General of the Norwegian Shipowners' Association.
