In this second part of a three-part series, the company now analyses some of the reduction techniques and systems available today and looks at the fuel situation The various developments that can be adopted today to reduce emissions include the Alpha Lubricator, water emul-sification, and selective catalytic reduction. The cylinder oil feed rate has an impact on particulate emission. Tests show that when the cylinder oil feed rate is reduced, particulate emission is also reduced.
