The EU drive to decrease emissions through reducing sulphur levels and to eke out dwindling fuel stocks by increasing the bio fuels content of fuel has reached the marine industry in the guise of the latest EU directive, to be implemented January 2011.rnFrom January, along with static fuel users, eg: construction plant and equipment and agriculture machinery,rnonshore and waterway operators will be using a new variant of red diesel equivalent in specification to that used by European diesel car drivers.
