Louis Dreyfus adopts JLMD system

FRENCH SHIP owner Louis Dreyfus Armatcurs (IDA), has asked the China Shipbuilding Industry Corp (CSIC) to equip its future bulk carriers with JLMD Fcologic System's Fast Oil Recover)' Systems (FOR), an innovative procedure patented bv Bureau Veritas for the rapid recovery of pollutants carried by ships. The contract involves construction of eight bulk carriers by CSlC's Tianjin Xingang Shipbuilding Heavy Industry Co Ltd. The installation of FOR Systems will considerably raise the level of environmental safety for the new ships. FOR Systems comprises on-board circuits that provide standardised, simple and rapid access to pollutants carried in a ship's tanks.
