When a ship is a proto-type, there are always expectations of teething troubles -but when its propulsion system is a world first then it is classification society regulations that have to keep up with the project. This is the situation that incat shipbuilders and engine manufacturer GE Power & Water found themselves in on a project to construct the first fast ferry powered by dual fuel diesel and LNG gas turbines.
