DOUBLE LIFE

The San Sha 1 is a Ro-Pax ferry built in China for operation in China. The project took less than two years from start to finish, including the design phase, which was handled by the Danish naval architect Knud E Hansen A/S in partnership with Shanghai-based CS Marine. Built at Bohai Shipyard in Llaoning Province north of both Beijing and Dalian, the ship was delivered to Sansha, China's southernmost city, almost 3,000km away, which administers several island groups in the South China Sea.
