Orange Business Services will provide a cloud based IT platform and virtual private networks for an EU-funded initiative. The EIS intelligent shipmanagement solution will develop new business intelligence and IT standards to improve management tools used by the shipping industry. A key goal is to help maritime companies take complex decisions on the basis of valid, up-to-date information across all shipmanagement lifecycle processes. This will help improve vessel management and seamlessly integrate data into a company's corporate infrastructure, and improve safety and crew welfare.
