I would like to very much welcome you to the latest Report. Given the increasing pressure on reducing our energy consumption, one issue we know is never far from the minds of our clients is the reduction of fuel consumption. Reducing the energy use, emissions and the costs of operation are a constant focus of MARIN. In this report we present several special developments that can impact fuel consumption. The topics covered include a look at how DP vessels can save fuel, how transom stern designs affect fuel usage and we also discuss the benefits of slowing down and ask if this is an answer to combat climbing oil prices.
