Puratos expanding in Brazil

Puratos has acquired a majority shareholding stake in Flo-resta do Rio Doce Agroderivados. Floresta do Rio Doce started in May 2010 as an origin cocoa factory in Brazil. Located in the Linhares cocoa plantation region of Brazil, Floresta do Rio Doce had an initial capacity to grinding 2,500 tons of cocoa beans per year. With an initial investment of € 4 million, Floresta do Rio Doce built a cocoa liquor production line close to more than 450 cocoa farms.
