The story of Rheo Thompson Candies began when Rheo Thompson apprenticed in the production of candy at Olin Brown Candies in Stratford, Ontario. In 1969, relying essentially on used equipment - only the bare necessities such as a natural gas stove, a copper kettle and a thermometer-Thompson began his own candy making facility.
