Manufacturing Process of Acrylic Fibre by Wet Spinning

Acrylic fibre is a very versatile fibre, which has emerged as a major substitute for wool with a vast scope of applications. It is defined as "A1 manufactured fibre in which the fibre forming substance is a long chain synthetic polymer composed of atleast 85% acrylonitrile units by weight, rest consists of co-monomers like methyl acrylate, methyl metha acrylate, vinyl chloride etc. and certain other additives to improve its mechanical properties and dye-ability.
