Energy is one of the most important ingredients in any industrial activity and Textife Industry is no exception. However, its availability is not infinite. Global energy crisis, as weff as the ever increasing cost of fuels has forced activities towards conserving energy to maximum extent. Despite the GDP Growth rate of over 8 % in the past 4 years, the country is stiff experiencing power shortages. The Ministry of Power has afready launched energy efficiency yolicy to address the yroblem. The Government is ambitiously looking forward to the implementation of additional yower generating capacity of 78,577 MW by 2012, i.e., the end of the 11th Five Year Plan. Some Herculean task.
