A Review on Coating Methods and Technologies used in Textiles

This paper discusses some such modern development in coating methods and technologies of textiles which modernizes the field of coating. These coating techniques applied to the continuous web processing can essentially be divided into three main sections knife coating, roll coating and specialty coating. Apart from the conventional coating methods, recent developments are going on to achieve the needs of human being. Coating material need to have very specific rheological properties because of the methods in which they are applied. The materials to be processed, the coating, the required properties of the final product, and the cost often dictate in choosing the best method.
