A comprehensive view on assessment of scoured cotton using enzymes and alkali - Part Ⅱ: Chemical Methods

摘要

Scouring of cotton fabrics aims at removal of oils and wax, pectin, protein, ash, systematically employing alkaline bath or certain enzymes like pectinase or combination of pectinase with cellulose or lipase. Various methods of assessing the process efficiency in terms of quality of the treated samples or fabrics were presented in Part Ⅰ of this paper. This paper (Part Ⅱ) describes the impurities and the remedies for the scouring of cotton using enzymes and alkali.
