Expanding universe of Canadian ports

With global maritime cargo shipments on a seemingly unstoppable growth track for the foreseeable future, despite the Trump-initiated trade wars, capacity demands are ever increasing for Canadian ports not to fall behind. Strategic location is one thing, but adequate infrastructure to handle surging cargo is another. Location, location, location was, in effect, the Old Normal. The New Normal is more like expansion, expansion, expansion. This has not only been fully recognized by the maritime industry but by federal and provincial governments that have recently accelerated funding support for various port projects across Canada.
