Effects of passive confinement on fatigue properties of concrete

the effects of passive confinement on the fatigue properties of concrete were investigated by conducting compres- sion tests on spirally reinforced cylindrical specimens. Results shows that lateral confinement increases the fatigue properties, and the classical Aas-Jakobsen S-N equation is modified to include the effects of passive confinement.
