Not Just Ruby... MacRuby! Finally using Mac-and Cocoa-specific features

MacRuby is a great way to write code that is just as native to OS X as code in Obj-C. The trick isn't so much learning Ruby, but Cocoa. Cocoa is big, and offers a lot of functionality. Sometimes, you may find yourself struggling to achieve something, and then later find that there's a Cocoa class that does it for you. Media of the month: I'm currently reading The Information, by James Gleick (http://macte.ch/igti). "The Information" outlines the history of information. Since so much of this is based in technology, it's incredibly relevant. I'm not quite through the entire book yet, but it's a good read so far.
