Creating Custom AutoPkg Processors

AutoPkg helps automate some of the tedious, difficult, and/or error-prone tasks involved in making third-party software ready for mass deployment. Some of the tasks are: Downloading an application and/or updates for it Extracting an application or package from a variety of archive formats Adding site-specific configuration Adding sane versioning information "Fixing" poorly-written installer scripts Saving these modifications back to a disk image or creating a standard installer package Importing the package or disk image into a software distribution system like Munki, Casper, Absolute Manage, etc. Customizing the associated metadata for such a system with site-specific data, post-installation scripts, version info, release "tracks" or other metadata.
