The C-ORAL-ROM resource is a multilingual corpus of spontaneous speech for four Romance languages. The corpus consists of four comparable recording collections of Italian, French, Portuguese and Spanish speech sessions with around 300,000 words for each language. The C-ORAL-ROM sub-corpora were collected in Western Tuscany, Southern France, Continental Portugal and Central Castilian Spain. The corpus aims to represent the variety of speech acts performed in everyday language and to enable the linguistic community and the speech industry to investigate prosodic and syntactic structures in the four Romance languages from a quantitative and qualitative point of view.
