This, the latest volume in Middleton's "Narrow Gauge Branch Lines" series, is the first of two volumes in the series which will cover Mediterranean islands, a follow-up volume covering Sardinia and Sicily is also in preparation. Unlike recent titles in the series, the photographs within this book are exclusively monochrome. The images used date from the 1950s to the present day on Majorca, whilst the Corsica views date from 1970 and 2007. As with the other volumes in this series (and other Middleton Press titles), there is a brief introduction to each of the lines featured, along with appropriate maps and well written captions.
