EXMAR SHIP MANAGEMENT ACADEMY OPENS TO THIRD-PARTY FSRU AND LNG BUNKERING TRAINING

Exmar Ship Management (ESM) is positioning itself to offer specialist training to other players in the floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) and LNG bunkering segments - as long as there is no conflict of interest. The Antwerp-headquartered company-manages 10 FSRUs, on its own behalf, for parent company Exmar, for US-based Excelerate Energy and in Italy, where it manages FSRU Toscana for OLT Offshore. It expects pressure on crew supply to increase in coming years, amid increased interest from prospective import markets in FSRUs as quicker, cheaper alternatives to land-based terminals.
