This year's fall shopping season will usher in not only the newest fashions and autos, but a new line of light bulbs. LED replacement light bulbs were previewed at LIGHTFAIR and are poised to hit the market in the fourth quarter of this year. Philips's 12-W EnduraLED replaces the most common household bulb-the 60-W incandescent. Lighting Science Group also announced the 9-W Definity product, its replacement for the 60-W bulb. What will they cost? The number bandied about for EnduraLED is $60, although the retail price has not yet been finalized. Definity should come in "in the low $30 range."
