摘要

I always look forward to OSRAM SYLVANIA's Annual "Socket Survey" because it tells me what my friends, neighbors and countrymen-rather than industry insiders-think about lighting. There are a lot of mixed messages lurking in the survey; here are few random snippets that I found especially telling: Only if it's broke do we fix it. Lighting upgrades are still mostly a reactive, not proactive, exercise. When asked why they switched a light bulb in 2011,83 percent stated the most obvious reason: it burned out or broke. "Better quality light" registered just 35 percent as a reason.
