I have talked with members over the last few years about their expectations of the IES, and one of the resounding themes relates to our Society's focus on technical issues. Our tagline is "The Lighting Authority," but I hear concerns among several of our members that we are not keeping pace with technical issues. Is the IES significant in the broader context of the building and construction industry? Have we kept pace with relevant standards and research?
