It's been a chaofic month for light rail, so I write this month's leader with a combination of joy and optimism mixed with extreme disappointment. Starting with the good news, the entries for this year's Light Rail Awards have been pouring in from around the world and the level of innovation, customer service and pride shown from organisations within the industry for their projects is admirable - and certainly up there with the very best that public transport of any mode has to offer.
