As part of the annual inspection of most 100-, 200-series and 337 Cessnas operated under Part 91, the IA must check the seat rails and seats in accordance with recurring AD 87-20-03 R2. This AD requires several inspections of the seat attachment system, including (1) measurement of the engagement holes for wear, (2) inspecting the holes for dirt and debris, (3) checking engagement pin depth, (4) inspecting the rollers for flat spots, (5) measuring the wall thickness of the roller housing and tang, (6) checking the springs that hold the lock pins in place, and (7) inspecting the seat tracks for cracks per Cessna Service Information Letter SE83-6, March 11,1983.
