Recently, the demands on film archives have also become louder to make their collections accessible via video streaming. However, video streaming is only one among many working fields that are changing under the impact of digitization. This article discusses the Cinematheque suisse's activities with respect to its historical tradition as well as current challenges. Finally, it presents current developments and projects.
